The dog and I made it up to Ketchum, ID on Wednesday night to ski Sun Valley all day Thursday. There wasnt any recent snow to speak of, but that didn't matter here, It was a mild, sunny, blue sky day. The skiing was still fun, with lots of fast, steep pitches, And I have not done a whole day of that in a while, so I was hurting at the end of the day. The terrain got a bit skied off throughout the day, but there was plenty of room to wander, and I mixed in skiing with lodge hopping, checking out Sun Valley's very fine day lodges. I got to ski most of the day with Roger, a local architect, who was kind enough to show me around the place. Check out the Picures here!
Overall though, I felt like I was rubbing elbows with the rich and famous. At the very end of the day I hopped into the Round House lodge, which is at the top of their new gondola, for a beer, and to take in the view, which I recommend to anyone who is just there one day like me, check it all out, and take it in, the views are amazing and the beer tastes better when it's a little more expensive (though a Sierra bottle was still only 4.50 there).
The Ketchum scene was fun, and everyone was very cool who I met. I made a night of checking out some of the bars, including Grumpys and Leftys, where (not quite confirmed) there seemed to be more locals. I wish I had more time to spend in Ketchum, but since the skies are  blue again today, Im headed out to check out Stanley,ID then up to Montana. Pitctures up soon!
